Try using the playtex nurser bottles. You can push all the air out of the bag and then all the baby can suck in is the fluid inside the bag. Theres also another bottle that is almost in an "L" shape. I can't think of the name of it but it is suppose to keep all the air at the top of the bottle. I used the playtex with my daughter and am now using it with my son. I think they are the best ones on the market.

I have spent over $100 on bottles alone, all different types with different size nipples, and I have found nothing that works. Her suction is weak, and therefore, she sucks in air, whereas a good suction will prevent air from going in if the bottle also prevents it. I have concluded that no bottle on the market is going to fix my problem, as it's the constant break in suction that draws in so much air, not the bottle itself. She did the same thing while nursing, which is why I had to stop nursing, as she was not drawing out enough milk to satisfy her and the air kept her in constant agony from stomach pain and gas. The doctors told me that it will fix itself in time, but she's nearly 3 months old and it's gotten far worse than it was before...I am at my wits end, which is why I wanted to ask the general public what they would do in my situation...

I would make sure that you are firmly holding the bottle to the mouth and not at an angle that will allow the nipple to be pulled out with the least movement to the bottle. Make sure you burp plenty while she is eating, and this will lessen the air in the tummy, and you can feed some more. My last one was like this, for a while, and holding the bottle firmly fixed the problem. Hope this helps, good luck to you.

I have tried holding the bottle in every position I can and holding it firmly to her mouth as well as letting her suck on the skinny part alone and removing the bottle and reinserting it to see if she'll get a better suction; I have even sat her up to drink. When I try to burp her, I can't get her to until she's drank an ounce or more, and it takes her 20 minutes to half an hour to drink that much. The only effective way I have found to get her to burp is to hold her tummy firmly and bounce her on my knee. My legs are so tired from constantly doing this...But that's a separate issue. I have bought Avent bottles with an extra soft nipple that collapses when compressed, I have tried conventional bottles, Gerber bottles with an extra wide nipple, Soothie's extra skinny nipples, Dr. Brown bottles with the tube that goes inside the bottle, the really expensive type that allows a baby to sit up and drink, the type that is shaped like a breast, Playtex drop-ins, I have tried just about everything...Even the docs don't know how to fix this...am I just doomed to go through this until she's no longer drinking from bottles?

I would call the Dr. Right away or take her to the nearest ER room to be checked out.
