Do you think that most people are aware that something is wrong, that there is danger in the future, yet are in denial? Or that it is too scary to think about? That there is a normalcy bias infecting most people?

No I think most people are in denial about the state of the world right now.We live in a consumer-driven culture concerned about the now and not about tomorrow. It's a materialistic society where the future can't be bought with plastic. It's definitely a normalcy bias, as people refuse to accept the evidence in front of them, because it's unlike anything they've experienced before. Thus they go on about their lives as if nothing is out of the ordinary.
