The contributions of those with homosexual orientation in terms of humanity are the same as any other human being; regardless of sexual orientation, people are people, and contribute daily in terms of human social interaction in all the ways others do (work, love, family, friendship, education, etc.). Separating human beings on the basis of sexual orientation is a false dilemma created by religious orientation, and only those who hold a specific religious orientation against the lifestyle see it differently.
In fact if we are to look at this question without moral judgment, the presence of someone different from ourselves provides additional opportunity for additional compassion, love, critical thinking and understanding of those who may be different from the majority/ourselves.
