Upper Gastrointestinal (GI) refers to esophagus, stomach and duodenum of a human body. Its X-ray images are taken out which is known as Upper GI tract radiography. This type of x-ray is taken out to find out the problems in those areas such as ulcers, continuous vomiting and other similar problems in those areas. This x-ray is mostly done on infants to find out the causes. The child is not supposed to eat anything for at least three to four hours in order to make the test go successful. It is important to dress your child comfortably in lose clothes and ease out their mind. Carry a snack for your child after the test as he may get hungry.
