For those of us who aren't spontaneous smilers but who want to give the impression that our joie de vivre is alive and well, Blurtit's very own Ray Dart has made a video on the art of smiling -- a skill at which he is so adept that, if smiling were an Olypic event, he would be the gold medallist.

I'm not a person who smiles at happy thoughts. I think my mouth is a bit out of tune with my brain xD

I have a mouth that is naturally downturned. I look like I am frowning when I am not. I have had strangers tell me, "Things aren't that bad." when they see me sitting somewhere. So I do get it. So now I just smile when I make eye contact with people. It has become a habit.

Smile. Your warmth will invite others to converse with you. The first step we can take is to stop focusing entirely on our problems or our sickness and start trying to enjoy the positive side that every moment gives us.

Life is FULL of moments that make one smile naturally!

Just now I smiled at Didges answer..... Then again when I saw Ray's non smiling profile picture! Earlier I smiled at Hippys Applebee story but I am hoping it was a tall tale! Before that I smiled at Echooos "Super freak" color and Otis's question of the day! Before that I smiled at my 2 year old son cuz he told me "get out! Paw Patrol on!" He is enjoying some alone time in the room and so I am out here playing with my Blurtit friends right now!!!!

I would rather have laugh lines then frown lines. Hopefully not too many worry lines but plenty of laugh lines by the time I leave this world! :0)

I think people are confused lol. It's not that I'm feeling negative, it's that I legitimately can't smile on command

Well now that you have cleared that up..... have you talked to a Dr about it? I recall that being a side effect of certain medications and when I looked for the medical term it popped up "Ataxia." Talk to your doctor my friend. :0)

I think I just have a sad resting face since I haven't been taking any meds recently and the other symptoms don't seem to match, but I'll look into it thnx
