Yep. I was "in love" with a young woman, and dated her for about 2 years. Then one day I met another young woman (my second wife) and I knew that the love for the first young lady was just lust.
Have you ever been in a relationship that you thought was "rock solid", but turns out it was far from it?
Dear Zack,
This answer might be totally different had I ever taken the step of marriage, especially had children been involved; but my experience has actually been quite opposite...
Relationships that I assumed were fleeting turned into rock-solid, lifelong connections very deep.

For some reason, I still remember an observation from the biography of Jennie Churchill, the fascinating American socialite who married Sir Randolph and became the mother of Sir Winston:
"My first marriage was romantic but not successful; my second was successful but not romantic."
Yeah a whopping 17 years worth until I woke up out of my stupor!
Yep. I was with guy for almost 5 years. I thought we were going to get married. He decided to sleep around instead.
On the upside, I became a stronger person and met someone who was a WHOLE LOT BETTER!
