Years ago when I had a major health problem, she was a neighbor who helped me out a LOT. She took me to the docs, to radiation therapy 5 times a week, grocery shopping, anywhere I had to go. She took care of me when I was sick, cooked for me when I was unable to do so, did my laundry and a million other kind things. Since my recovery, we've become best friends and do everything together. Her husband calls me "her other husband".
It was at a fancy-dress Christmas dance in 1957. Mrs Didge and her friend, Val, had turned up as the Belles of St. Trinians. It took nearly three months of pursuit before we started going out together.
I met my best friend at school! We were both teased for the same reason and it brought us together. We stopped getting teased in high school tho, but we still stuck together. C:
I joined the gym. BFF 10 years, like sisters. She died of breast cancer 😌
Mutual friend introduced us at an after-game High School dance in 1963. Married in 1967. She still puts up with me.
It's a very long story, but a very nice one.....I met my best friend online....I joined a q&a website similar to this one, (not something I'd ever, I mean ever done before) soon, we became friends, myself going through a very difficult time in my life, and him there to listen and then talk to me about his issues. I have received more friendship and caring from this person than anyone I've ever known.
A female friend of mine asked me to come along with her and her friend because my friend was introducing her girlfriend to another male friend of hers.
I don't remember the other guy's name, but I remember the other girl's name.
And if I ever forget it, I can just pull out our marriage license to remind me.
On a Monday night I went out and met some friends to watch football at a local bar. There was someone new there who i noticed was noticing me, but wouldn't make eye contact. He was talking to a friend of mine, so I walked up to her to say hi and to introduce myself to the new guy. He and I started talking....and talking...and talking. The bar closed and we went to breakfast and talked some more. I headed home at 5:30 in the morning. He called me later that day for a date on Wednesday night. We have been together ever since.
Motormourh ran in my trl about two yrs ago and feel asleep. Ever sense she has been my buddy. No one else she will let touch her
The first time I met her was when we were in grade 7, we were classmates in a course for gifted students. I don't remember it in particular but she does, and she still reminds me now. On that day she was reading a newspaper and I approached. Suddenly, I took her hand and asked: "What are you reading? Can I join?" We've been friends since that day and our relationship grows, from classmates to best friends, and now she is my girlfriend. I really appreciate God for giving such a bless :)
On the Greyhound bus coming from Omaha back to Kearney where I was going to college.
That was in October 1976.
January 1977, I had a psychology class with him.
We finally got married June 1992. Had a son in October 1993. We were officially married for five years before we divorced. He was unable to function after the death of his son in March 1995.
We are still friends after all this. He moved back to Arkansas a few years ago and if I need him, all I have to do is call.
I met my fiancé on ond volunteer session! We were cleaning up a beach in my area c:
My best friend and I bonded over books (it's embarrassing, but it was Divergent. I loved that book)
