Yes. My wife's grandfather is 90 and a military veteran. He lives in Missouri so it's difficult to get out there and visit him as often as we'd like to seeing as we are in North Carolina. The sad thing is that he has family that lives in Missouri only 30 minutes away but they never visit him...

Thanks, Skip. She's still fairly mobile but needs to use a walking frame. My brother lasted to 91. I guess you'll probably have to put up with me for a few years yet. ;-)

Dear Jann,

O yes I do...my friend Fredericka here in Tenino just celebrated her 95th birthday.

Lost a few friends recently but in Iowa, I shared housing with several WWII vets; Rich was 92 when he died, a veteran of the North Africa campaigns. Joe was 92 also, served in three wars: WWII, Korea, AND a bit of Vietnam. He taught for the military up until a few months before his death.

A joy and a privilege to know all of them.

Currently, no.

But I wouldn't mind still being to able to look into the mirror and say "yes" in 19 years.
