How do I stop being homely looking so I won't be forever single? I am 20 years old, 5'6" and 148 pounds, which is pretty heavy for an Asian girl. Should I lose weight? I apologize for the photo being sideways! http://i66.tinypic.com/j795ap.jpg

You're normal. But I don't see a reason why you shouldn't start working out and getting fit. I see a little hunch in your shoulders, working out will improve your posture and give you more of a confident look compared to slouching.

There's plenty of physical activities to do outside. That will let you meet new people and make new friends. Social activities usually helps you meet potential significant others.

I live in a pretty cold area so it's difficult to do strenuous outside activities for most of the year, but I do sometimes go to the gym. I've been struggling a little with weight issues, especially when I started college and had an unlimited meal plan. There was a time when I was pretty fit, wore stylish clothing, etc and still no one was interested in me. So I'm trying to find out what's wrong with me

IMO, homely is a state of mind. You could be dirt ugly and you will find someone that thinks you are the most beautiful person ever. Because in their eyes, you are beautiful.

If your body is not in the shape that you want, then that's something that you can work on. If you have an unlimited meal plan at school, if they have fruits and veggies, go for those instead of pancakes.

Walk everywhere. You don't need a gym to walk or run. Walk up and down stairs, back and forth in the hallways at school. Get together with a friend and go walking at the mall. We have a mall that's built in a rectangle shape - they have a walking club that meets every day at 6 a.m. To walk around and around for as long as you want. Get creative. Go play Frisbee in the park with a friend. Good luck!
