I guess it really depends on the individual person, but I'd say the more mature people can start dating at 16 if they can cope with having a relationship, all the teenage friendship drama and their schoolwork.

Like I told my 2 adult Daughters that 35 is a very good age to start but in all reality 16 for both sexes.  Anything under that is way too young to understand the true meaning of a love relationship and should be more interested in school work.  Now one can be friends under 16 but no dating or PDAs

I don't really see a right age. It depends on the person and their maturity level imo

There is no "right age" ... If you are a minor, the appropriate age is up to your parents ... If you are an adult, whenever you feel you are ready.

My 5 year old has a "girlfriend" in preschool. I think it's healthy for kids of all ages to have a companion which they consider a boy or girlfriend. Dating is different. 16 is my minimum allowed. The right age? Depends on the person, my parents where together in High School and married soon after and never divorced while I didnt settle down and start really looking till I was 26. Nobody can tell you the right age, it's whenever your ready.
