I'm not happy with the way my life is going right now. What's the best way to reboot and enjoy my life again?

So how about organising a fake funeral for yourself?

Yeah I know it sounds a little off the wall, but bear with me...

I first heard about this practice in a Vice Japan documentary filmed in South Korea (a country that has the second highest suicide rate in the world by the way... Second only to GREENLAND?!?)

I originally tuned in because the documentary sounded so crazy. But having watched the piece - I have to admit, it actually makes a lot of sense!

The idea is to face up to your own death, to realise that your time on this earth is limited, and if you were going to die tomorrow - would you be spending your time feeling sorry for yourself and lamenting the rut you're in? Or would you go out there and enjoy what every second of the time you have left?

The documentary followed a group of people who were feeling unhappy with their lives, and holding a mock funeral forced them to contemplate what it means to die.

The most touching part was when they were asked to write a letter to friends and family to say goodbye, and the show's presenter became quite emotional.

The actual mock funeral was pretty full on too. The guy organising the event didn't tell them how long they'd be "meditating" in their coffin for, and the boxes were actually nailed shut!

Here's a trailer if you're interested in finding out a bit more about this bizarre but rather intriguing trend:
