Better safe than sorry take your daughter straight to the doctor or if closed a & e department don't waste time
You don't say how old your daughter is. The symptoms of meningitis include fever, headache, dislike of bright light, nausea, vomiting, stiffness in the neck and in babies, a swollen fontanelle (soft spot at front of skull). There can also be the telltale rash once septicaemia sets in, which is usually reddish purple and doesn't fade when pressed under a glass.
Sunnyd is so right on. How long has the child had a fever and did you do anything to reduce it? Because a child's body is not fully matured, Diseases can spread much faster. I believe Medical Professionals warn against giving children with a fever asa as it deadly. Anytime a child has a fever that increases or lasts longer than a few hours need to have a consult from a Medical expert.
The symptoms of Meningitis can vary from child to child depending of factors such as Age and health. In infants the symptom is usually only fever. I would recommend you to consult a doctor immediately as there is a possibility that your daughter has it.
I hope you are listening to these people, they are telling you the right thing here. Get the child to the doctor. I sure would. There's no reason to take such a chance that it might not be. Hope this helps, good luck.
