“Steal a kiss” is just an expression - there’s no stealing involved!

What Does “Stealing A Kiss” Mean?
“Stealing a kiss” is when you quickly kiss someone, taking them by surprise.

It’s called “stealing” because you’re taking the kiss before the other person has time to react.

However, that doesn’t mean you should steal a kiss from someone who doesn’t want you to - you can’t just go up to your crush and kiss them, just because you feel like it!

Ideally, when you steal a kiss, you should be confident that the other person will be happy about it. If you’re dating someone, stealing a kiss is usually considered quite sweet and romantic.

When your grandma forces a kiss on you at the Christmas party, that’s not called “stealing a kiss” - it probably should be, though, because those kisses usually do feel like a violation!

How Do You Steal A Kiss?
Catch your boyfriend or girlfriend by surprise - if they’re facing the other way, lean over and quickly kiss them on the lips.

By the time they realize what’s happened, you’ll have already kissed them.  That’s pretty much all there is to it!

How Do I Know If She’s Happy With Me Stealing A Kiss?
If she smiles, that’s usually a good sign! If she looks annoyed, or if she slaps you, I wouldn’t do it again.

As a general rule, only do it when you’re on good terms - stealing a kiss is not a way to get a kiss from someone who doesn’t want to kiss you!
