姉 is the Japanese Kanji for 'older sister'. The Japanese have a separate word for 'older sister' and 'younger sister', you don't need to add the 'older' in front of it. There is no word for just 'sister' in Japanese.

I've found KoreanClass101.comm very useful for learning Korean. But it's taken me a while to catch on that I need to take notes during each lesson... It's easy to just tune out when it's playing.
