I switched the batteries in both my smoke alarms, but they keep beeping. What do I do?

Take the batteries out?

A good cleaning ?  Dust ? Grease build up ?

Check and clean the battery terminals with alcohol wipes.?

Chances are after 10 years they should be replaced anyways.
