No, not really. They'll need a dumpster for most of my furniture and take home whatever they want. My dog goes to my oldest son, my car gets donated. The rest is stipulated in my will as to who gets what. Shouldn't be a problem.

Inevitably.

At our age this is one of the things we've had to think about and there are certainly steps we can take to make it easier. Even so, unless we were willing to live a miserable, Spartan existence, and dispose of all the goodies we've built up over our lifetimes, there will be a certain amount of cleaning out to do. Still, there's enough money tied up in the estate to pay somebody to clear it for them. I doubt if nostalgia is going to be a factor.

Why are you assuming that I am going to die?

There is a fair amount. I do go things regularly and donate what I don't use, so there isn't a huge amount. My mother-in-law on te other hand has piles of crap. Her garage is full of boxes and she thinks we will be fighting over her junk. If I have my way I wouldn't even open the boxes and jusrt call Goodwill to come and pick up her stuff,

No. My family is all split apart and we don't bother with each other... When i die.. No one will be at my funeral, and all my stuff will just get thrown away.
