What in the world would a year old child need with an expensive diamond .. Why not consider putting the money you would spend on an item (that would please only YOU) into your the childs education fund instead.

I hate to beat a dead horse but why wouldn't a college fund be the better idea. Well unless your intention is to raise this child to think "bling" is important, education, not so much.
