lol how did you accidentally dye it? What color were you going for? Anyway yeah I don't think there is anything to be ashamed of for being emo. There were 2 emo girls in the same grade as me and everyone liked them because of their personality and how they were unique, so you should be proud. Actually one of them was kind of hated because she turned into a skank and started seeing other girl's ex boyfriends and bragging about it. That's not an emo thing though , is it?
