Steven Johnsons Syndrome is fatal condition in which epidermal cells start to die and separate from the dermis. The exact cause is not known but some factors like few bacterial, fungal and viral diseases can cause this. Few medicines cal also contribute but not aspirin. Liver damage can be due to aspirin. Actually use of over the counter drugs can cause Steven Johnson disease. Asprin is known to trigger Erythema multiforme which is considered same as Stevents Johnson syndrome by experts. That is why it is always recommended that Children especially infants must not be given Asprin.
