Well lack of discipline among young people maybe caused by lack of fortitude on the side of the parents. When one parent says no the other parent should follow suit, if for no other reason than a unified front. Parents who allow themselves to be played off one against the other deserve what they get. Parents need to stiffen up thier spines and inform children that they are not in-charge, and misbehaving will have penalties which will be strictly enforced. Now for everyone gasping over my suggestion, I'm not saying use corporal punishment, what I am saying is reason will only prevail when parents do the parenting and the children understand that this system is not negotiable
