I'm not sure if this will make you feel any better... But my sisters daughter used to do the same. She would scream and thrash about. One time when my sister was trying to wake her, she actually urinated on her leg... I don't know what causes it... I wanted to let you know your not alone.. My niece has definitely gotten better with it though.
