I disagree with people who say the choice is yours. It's not just yours if you plan to have sex with someone. So discuss this matter with your guy, if he wants you to shave then you should, if you don't like it then you don't have to like, but when you are in a relationship you should learn to be flexible. That's the whole point of the relationship. Shaving the genital isn't a hard thing and it doesn't significantly affect your life. So I don't think what is your problem.
