Romantic dinner :) I don't dig on eating on a blanket on the ground ... Although oneΒ  time I had an amazing time in a football field in the rain next to an apartment building I lived in back in the "day" ... There was no food involvedΒ  but I had to walk up 4 flights of stairs with out my jeans onΒ  cos they were too very soaked by the rain to put them back on ... That's kinda like a picnic :)

Oh yeah I did ;) that's a memory I'll never forget...especially the walking back up flights of stairs in a crop top and underwear holding wet jeans :) I ended up married to that guy ... So all good :)

How's "Watching movies with homemade cookies and snacks at 5 AM with girlfriend" sound like? Because that's usually what I'm doing.

I saw one guy who managed to do both.

Back in the 1980s I used to run along part of the Sydney Harbour foreshore every lunch time, always around a spot called Mrs Macquarie's Chair (it's the foreground in the accompanying pic).

At one place there are two adjacent rocky overhangs that are almost, but not quite, caves.

One lunchtime as I rounded a curve I saw a young man and the woman he was about to propose to seated at a dining table in one of them. They were dressed in evening wear, and the table was laid with a fine linen table cloth, silver, crystal goblets, champagne, the works.

In the other overhang, working over an elaborate portable stove, was a chef, complete with chef's hat, happily preparing them a banquet.

It has to be the best wedding proposal I ever heard of. There's no way she could have said no. I hope they're enjoying life and celebrating their 30-something anniversary this year.

Picnic's are fun with the whole family.....

If I had to pick just me and my husband, I would pick the romantic dinner.... And it better be a place with NO crayons that come with the menu! LOL!
