Are you the life of the party? Or are you constantly counting the number of guests for fear it will reach your allowed maximum before you move yourself to the closest door or window that will provide instant escape if needed?

Neither. I usually hover around the food table for most of the night.

I'm not good at parties, unless I know most of the people there. I usually people watch and yes, I might hover around the doorway, waiting for my chance to slip out unnoticed.

Do we battle with Agoraphobia?

I tell you Ed, if we can't loosen up our phobias at parties, it's time to get a bunch of cats and lock the front door.

I take no small pride in saying that I've been the 'Life of the Party' enough times, I'm secure to let others be IT. There's gotta be a 'Life' or it's not a party, it's a waiting room.    -Z

I'm not the life of anything, but I'm definitely not standing on the sidelines. I'll  talk to anyone about everything.

I never start out the life of the party, but once I've had enough to drink, I can be quite lively.

For me it depends on what kind of party i'm at.

If i'm at a social environment (like a pub, or a place with normal music) I like to talk to everyone and just have fun as much as possible. Trying to make everyone feel good. Which results in me feeling good and me going in a sort of state which I love. It's kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy if you think everyone is your friend, and you approach people that way, it makes it totally not awkward and you go home with a good feeling.

If i'm at a place electronic party (techno, tekno, dnb,..) i'm not that social in general, I just dance and go with the music and stay with my group of friends.

If i'm at a professional party I make sure I behave, don't act too stupid and try to make deeper connection with the people that can give me advantages on professional areas. (still need to master this)

Every kind of party can have different goals you put for yourself in mind. If you go out to pick up chicks its totally different than you go out just to dance. Just my opinion.

Don't really go out parties, but I'm kinda both. My two sides to my personality are my crazy and annoying side and my sensible and depressing side, so I'm pretty torn between those roles XD

I like to go to parties, but I'm usually the creepy person who stands in the corner or who hides behind their friends for the entirety of the party.
