Grades and achievement is considered one of the most important things in India, and I am assuming you're from India.
But you can do both, get high marks and have a boyfriend, if you handle your time wisely. People do it everyday there. They have relationships that lasts for years, even long distance relationships, while they finish their academic goals first.
So this is obviously bothering you. Get ahold of him and tell him you have feelings for him and would like to continue with what started earlier, while explaining your grades and levels need to come first.

Make no mistake .. Your grades are not because of "him". If you want to lay blame then lay blame where blame is due .. On YOU. It is your responsibilty to do the work and to concentrate and focus on your school work. Self control is how you deal with distractions like a childhood crush .. Perhaps THAT is what you need to work on as well as your school work.
