Have you ever gotten advice about parenting from people who weren't even parents?

Yes!  My sister-in-law has never been married and never had kids.  She was the queen of unsolicited advice, and it was usually ridiculous.

Yep and I usually tell them: "when you have kids, then I MAY listen to your advice."

My sister she knows everything about everything, including kids, she never had, never raised any, never babysit or never feed or never clothed, but she still knows how to raise children.

My niece, who was a pre-school teacher, was the queen of this! Now she has two of her own, and she is the first to admit that she has done everything she has told her students' parents they shouldn't do.

Heh, well I've probably given my sister some annoying "advice". More that her kids were just annoying me and I had to complain about it...
