You're not hurting anyone so it's fine and your mom doesn't need to know everything and probably doesn't want to know ... So just get a job and but your own thongs then.
For whatever reason you're wearing them I doubt that it's for comfort. I'd find a more plausible excuse than that before I dropped them into the dirty washing.

How in the world can those be comfortable? It isn't really necessary to tell you mom what you wear under your clothes. Just make sure you keep them out of the regular laundry.....don't want her accusing you dad of something he didn't do.
Thongs are anything but comfortable and for a male to be wearing them must add to the discomfort because of the extra errrrm room needed. Perhaps you enjoy wearing ladies underwear which is not uncommon for men and if your mom is OK with this I don't see a problem unless you wear them to gym class.
At your age, you are entitled to privacy. This is not something you need to talk to anyone else about, even your mom. Throw some regulation boy underwear in the laundry every week and keep your preferred ones to yourself. Under the mattress is the wrong place to keep them. Be imaginative about storage. Tell nobody right now. Keep that to yourself until you're an adult. There is nothing wrong with what you're doing, but the social fallout if others find out will be uncomfortable.
