How do priests deal with sexual urge?

Some of them seem to find children.

It's interesting that until about the 11th century priests were permitted to marry. The ban was brought in, not for religious reasons, but because the church hierarchy feared that wives who survived their husbands may lay claim to the property in which they lived.

Which of course has nothing to do with the following conversation between a priest and a rabbi.

Once your sexuality is appropriately integrated into your personality, your sexuality can begin to serve you.

And that is true for the majority of "urges."  (Try it, you'll like it.)

Until that happens, we humans tend to serve it.

And the Catholic Church teaches that sexuality in marriage is also very definitely for the purpose of fostering the love between husband and wife,not just for producing children.

They are supposed to be more interested in service to their "Lord" and church than in themselves.

The same way anybody else does.

They either marry, have out-of-marital "relations", or use self-service.

Same way other's deal with their urges . . . The fulfill the urge in what ever way they will. Some times by themselves, some time with a willing party, and other times with innocents that they prey upon.

Same as the rest of the human race.
