One morning, many years ago, after showering, I stood in front of the basin to shave. My little boy (he's 51 now so it was a while back) wandered into the bathroom, looked up, saw something dangling down, grabbed it, jerked it a couple of times, and said, "Toot! Toot!"

I nearly cut my throat.

Wow, I get to use "defenestration" in a sentence.

A rare opportunity for a great word, Tom. The window was closed at the time so, as you can imagine, there was a modicum of blood -- all of it mine. It very quickly became one of our family jokes, though it's not told as often as the time I sat on a freshly cooked chicken. :(

When my paternal grandparents were still living, my grandmother and I were sitting at the kitchen table playing dice.....my grandfather was walking by the table, hands in his pants pockets....he farted rather loudly, fanned his pants (hands in the pockets).... My grandmother looks up at him and states "did ya get any on ya?" I lost it!
