No, pray is doing nothing but talking to the imaginary friend in your head.

Do not pray for me but do give a few dollars to your local animal shelter. That is doing something.

Other then Self Fulfilling Prophecy, what will this accomplish?

If it makes you feel better about yourself, you can pray that I have a good day . . . But whether I ACTUALLY have a good day depends entirely on situations and circumstances and how I decide to react within them . . . And not on an outside force.

That's fine, but it wouldn't change anything. Even if I believed in a God, I would hope the "Free Will" would extend to my choices in reaction to situations and events . . wouldn't you?
