A friend blacked out drinking. She said horrible things to the ppl she loves & cares for. No drugs were involved. Where can things go from here? Does saying sorry fix it?

She was probably in pain , people don't black out drunk unless there's some kinda pain involved ... Or tequila :) either way give a second chance.

It depends on what was said. There are consequences to things people say.

Are you personally involved? Did you see her and she said hurtful things to you? Then you determine how you want to respond to this behavior. If you are not involved personally then let others who were involved deal with her as they see fit.

Either way I would reconsider hanging around someone who drinks to such excess that she loses control of her mouth. This probably isn't the first nor will it be the last time this will happen.

It depends on what was said and the people it was said to. I personally would be less worried about what was said, and more worried about the drinking to the point of blacking out. People who are in a good place in life just don't do that. People who are hurting some way do. If I was a true friend of the person I would want to know what is going on to drive them to that point.

How does she feel about what she has done? Being sorry helps when it comes from the heart and there is a real effort to correct any wrong behavior.

Showing remorse for something said in a drunk'n stupor helps .. But, it is all relative to what was said and the people involved as to how it will affect future relations.

Alcohol affects people differently .. It can affect the brain in a very destructive manner because it is a mood altering substance and can remove inhibitions that may be detrimental to one's behaviour.  It's no excuse .. Just a fact. Words, once said, are irrevocable...damage is done .. period.

There are consequences for our actions .. Whether or not those actions are intended or not. THat is exactly why some people need to curb their consumption .. Or prevent it completely.
