If a 14 year old gets pregnant by a 17 year old boy, can the boy get in trouble? (didn't happen, I'm just wondering)

It depends on the country and/or state lived in by both. I sure hope he gets in trouble!!

This varies from state to state.  If it was consensual sex and both were minors, in some states, this is not a serious crime.  (These are often called "Romeo and Juliet" statutes). It may also depend on the difference in age - so 14 and 15 year olds together is not a crime, but 14 and 17 may be.

Some states draw a line at 16.  Sex before 16 is statutory rape, regardless of the age of the other party.

If the parents don't want a prosecution to take place (they don't want to make a felon of their grand baby's Dad), it isn't likely to go forward.

Actually ... the police are more likely to find out from the girl's doctor or school authorities - who are required to report such incidents. And the state doesn't need the parents to press charges - same way they don't need anyone to press charges for "domestic violence" cases.

Trouble doesn't even begin to describe what he's stepped in to.

If it was my 14 year old, you can bet on it! Legally speaking it depends on where it happened. You can google the laws for sex with a minor where you live to find out what applies there.

He should be in trouble. Thing is if 14 year old girl is pregnant, regardless of the guys age, she has many really big problems.

Here, someone over 16 having sex with someone younger than 16 is considered rape.  Anyway, I'm 14, and I don't want to be in a sexual relationship let alone impregnated.  I've still got school and a life that I don't want to waste on a baby.

Yes he could, it's called statutory rape. Even though he had her consent she is considered a minor in the eyes of the law until she's 18.

I hope her parents knew she was sexually active.

Good luck.

That totally depends on the state, I know in Wisconsin both can be victim and both can be criminal, and both charged. Many states have an age differential, some states don't.
