Should sex have emotional love in it?

Yes.

There are only 2 valid reasons you should have sex with someone.

1 - Procreation.  And if there's no love, you shouldn't be having children with that person.

2 - An expression of love between two mature, consenting adults.

Sure, there are other reasons to have sex.  But (IMO) I can't think of any other VALID reason.  The only other reasons I can think of are selfish and/or abusive.

Having sex without emotion is just plain ole f'ing. Making love is sex with emotions.

If you want it to be good, yes. A partner that has an emotional attachment is going to more attentive to your needs and you will be more attentive to theirs.

If you have sex without the emotional attachment, it can often leave you feeling empty.

Although the act itself would seem to me to be more enjoyable with emotional investment, I can see the allurement in just satisfying an impulse need . . . Possibly the reason why many men and women do not fall in love with their Hands or sex toys when having an auto-erotic moment (Masturbation).

Slightly tricky since you used the word "should."

And by "sex" I assume you mean male-female sexual intercourse.

Morality aside, the more "grown up" one is, sexual intercourse requires that hearts minds and bodies reach out to one another in order for the act to be "fulfilling."

Otherwise, it's basically mutual masturbation.

So it may or may not "float your boat."
