You could get a few of those big plastic or tupper ware types of containers that keep things dry and sealed. Tape a piece of paper on the lid and write down whatever you put in there . Try to separate your things into different types of things and just put certain types of things in the container. With everything written down on paper taped to the lid, you'll always know what's in there when you go looking for a certain thing. I have a bunch of those in the rafters of my garage. Dry, clean, and pest free.
