It can be. But then again, the guy could be flirty and enjoys doing that. I know a few guys who likes to text and hug people but don't actually like them. So it all depends on the guy and what his intentions are.
If you want to know if he likes you, look at his body posture. If he's facing them towards you, he probably deems you important. If not, then there are other fish in the sea. Another could be if he asks about you because he wants to get to know you better. Also if he asks you random questions like "what time is it?" or "can you sharpen my pencil?", then he's probably trying to get your attention and can be interested in you. Or if he's simply wanting to spend more time with you for whatever reason, then yeah, he's into you. But then again, it all depends on the guy.
This may not be so helpful but trust your gut. Your intuition knows a bit more than you think it does.
