Your following your heart. You live with hard working parents with ambition and deserved what they accomplished. They have a 'go to' attitude and want what is best for their daughter, just like you will when you have a daughter. You would want to give her the best you can. It is not vanity, but pride of well deserved self accomplishment. Unfortunately, your bf parents did not instill this value into their son. He does not understand your world. He can not give you what he does not understand. You actually stepped down from your beliefs and values for 2 years and tried to live in his world. You gave him 2 years "knowing" it can be better with ambition and hard work. Hard to go backwards when knowing what forwards looks like. He only knows where he is. You can try to get him to understand, but then again, he may see nothing wrong with living, lazy, poor and little ambition. You have to decide where you want to live, in what kind of atmosphere. There is nothing to be ashamed of what you want when your parents "Worked" to acheive what they aquired. They earned it not only for them, but for you. That is why they did what they did to get what they got...you were their inspiration. I bet they were more then happy to have you back and now with the knowledge of how much you appreciate what they give you. That is their blessings.
