In Europe parents teach their kids their native language and then the basics of English around pre-school age, as the schools have their own intensive English programs for them to develop their ability in the language.
Okay, for parents who are bi.did you bother to teach your kids your language as they grew up or did you just let them learn english/reading/ writing?in other words did you force them to learn your native language to benefit them in the future.
My parents taught me English than when I was 13 they started teaching me Italian but only too speak it not to write they did that so I could choose if I wanted to learn or not
