Usually one on one interaction is best. They see you paying attention & getting to know them as an individual. Listen to what they are currently into & surprise them with little things that show you have been listening. If they are into a certain cartoon surprise them & sit down with them to watch it or if they dislike a certain food maybe say "Hey I didnt make such & such tonight cause I know you kinda dislike it." Its the little things you notice that matter. And never compare ones progress or ways of doing things with the others.
