In UK something counts as a disablement if it has a long term impact on a person's ability to perform day to day activity. These would include walking, carrying shopping etc, dressing, eating, going to the toilet.....
Long term is taken to be a year or more, but problems that come and go like Rheumatoid arthritis also count, because they return. Also problems that are known to deteriorate over time count as soon as they are diagnosed, even if the person is not yet disabled - like multiple sclerosis.
So the answer is - if your scoliosis has this sort of impact on you - then it is a disabling condition.
