Telling how far your relationship with a guy has progressed can be difficult at time - Lord knows I've been in a few relationships where I seriously struggled to know where I stood!

If you want to figure out whether a guy is actually your boyfriend or not, here are some questions you should ask yourself:

How to tell if a guy is your boyfriend
  • Does he act differently with you?
If he's out flirting and kissing other girls, chances are he's just playing you, but if he treats you like you're the most special woman in his life, then you can tell he sees you as more than just 'a friend'.

  • Does he want to spend time with you doing every-day stuff?
Guys tend to be interested in girls for one thing only, so if he enjoys just sitting about and watching movies with you, there's a good chance he's actually interested in getting to know you (rather than by what's in your pants!).

  • Does he kiss you in public?
If your relationship is important to him, he'll want to show it off to the world. Holding hands and kissing in public is a good sign that he sees himself as your man, and not some meaningless fling.

If you've answered 'yes' to all the above, there's a really good chance he is becoming your boyfriend, but the only way you'll know for sure is if you ask him.

Don't make too big a deal of it. Jjust ask him: 'so, are we going out then?' and see what he says!

If you're feeling that he is, then just ask him how he feels about exclusive dating.

He doesn't have to ask you to be your girlfriend. (Sorry if I mess things up, I'm tired.)

I once was "dating" this guy for 4 months, he never asked me and I never asked him, but I knew that we were boyfriend and girlfriend.

And for you if he wanted to break up with you, he would have already done it! You're safe to say he's your boyfriend.
